God knows everything (right?) - Well, then God would also know the emotional pain someone has been suffering is so badly and all their honest best efforts to get help to deal with the pain failed so God would know how desperate they’ve become in their pain. Wouldn’t God understand all this and understand that their suicide wasn’t about wanting to end their life he gave them, but to end the emotional pain that no one seemed to be able to take away from them.
It’s sad really. So much talk, promoting, and supporting of help to those who need it for their emotional pain and for anti-suicide, but as some have found out the hard way, that so-called help doesn’t always reached out to everyone in need as it’s so talked about and promoted as. Sad cause no one in need should ever reach out for help and find something about themselves doesn’t qualify them to get the help so many talk about being there. Sometimes it’s a money / budget thing. Sometimes it’s a gender selective thing. Sometimes is seems like it’s always something that prevent the person in need from getting help and they are left alone in their pain, desperately looking for a way to stop the pain, not necessarily looking or wanting to die.
So with all this being said and with all God knows, would God ever forgive suicide if it was never about dieing, but hurting? I would like to know if anyone knows. I’ve talked to several of my pastor friends from my church and others church family. I just get the whole “You don’t want to do this. There is help out there for you.” response. “Da! Ya Think?!“ Yes, they are so right. I don’t want to do this. Never want to ever do this. But No, there are wrong. There is not always help out there. Always some stupid issue disqualifying someone from getting help they so are asking for. So I never got my answer and now asking it here.

Yes, He loves you unconditionally. YOU have to seek help however, it does not always find you. Read Journals on DS of people who have lost their loved ones to suicide - could you destroy other lives as well as take your own? Do you REALLY think everthing will be ok if you "end" it all? Sorry baby, living takes character and guts. Also, your problems go right with you. The noble thing is 1. Help others in need. 2. Resolve to take control of your own problems, seeking help if needed. Tell us what the problem is. You are safe here and can tell all. What have you to lose? We are also able to love you unconditionally ! xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

i feel that He does as He is all knowing and loves us no matter what, with His perfect Love. He would know, like you said, that the person was hurting so badly that, in their mind, at that time, suicide was the only way to get relief. Hugs xxoo

If there is a God and "everything happens for a reason" and it's "all part of God's master plan" than so is suicide. People like to throw those annoying phrases in your face all the time with things like suicide and abortion. And it's like.... okay well according to your dumb ass phrases suicide happens for a reason and it's all part of God's master plan so stfu...is what I want to tell them. :)

there is no need to ask or seek forgiveness for something which is the result of an illness - ever! we all need to be absolutely certain about that no matter what society or family try to guilt us into feeling!

But i did find out the hard way.....My story feels like yours. In a couple of weeks it will be a year..... I was technically brain dead and I don't know what saved me.... only god? I blamed it on ambien so I wouldn't lose everything. The guilt I think was worse than dying. My daughter who was 14.... my parents. I felt like scum. I've prayed and prayed, thrown away everything that's reminded me of that night no matter how important to me it was. It wasn't until recently I've had a few dreams about it. I dread for those days to pass and hopefully then I'll be ok. When you feel you don't have a friend and no one understands you it's amazing how far you can be pushed. Yes I regret it. But my feelings hasn't changed, just my ways to deal with it. suicide isn't a patch, I ended up with the chore of trying to forgive myself. It's not the answer. ;

What I struggle with is the concept that even though God loves us and everything happens for a reason and the causes of suicide are mental illnesses, there is still the concept of free will. People who commit the most heinous crimes have legitimate reasons to do what they do but that doesn't make it okay in the eyes of society. I like to think that God loves us all unconditionally but I'm pretty sure that many of my behaviors are deplorable.
