Sudden infant death syndrome (SIDS) is any sudden and unexplained death of an apparently healthy infant aged one month to one year. SIDS is responsible for roughly 50 deaths per 100,000 births in the US.

Well our story is going to air tonight at 11pm on WBAL channel 11 in Baltimore. It will be on their website tomorrow too. I don't know if it will solve anything or if we will get any answers but at least it will make people aware that this is happening. So proud of you girls for bringing attention to this. I think awareness of this is great and it also gets Sids in the news. The nerve of some people... I really hope you just find out it is a clerical issue.

I just saw this news story! I also emailed WBAL. The exact same thing happened to us. My son died in September of SBS (by his daycare provider). We tried to e-file and we got the same message and the same response from the IRS.

This is not just a coincidence. There is something not right!

Thank you for bringing exposure to this. My husband filed our taxes on 1/27/10 the next day they told us that my son's SS number had already been claimed we were shocked spent 2 days on and off phone with IRS and no answers. I showed your story to my husband and he could'nt believe it. IRS keeps saying they will contact us but no reply.
