Hi Brandy....I lost my son Curtis in April of 2008. I went out and bought a journal and wrote to Curtis and just wrote about everything that we did that I could remember. Slowly it will come back to you. Im so glad that I did it....because you have something to reference when you feel like youre "forgetting". I hope this helps you.

Hi Brandy, I think writing your thoughts and memories down is a good idea. I only had a short time with my DJ and what I did was wrote a letter to him. I always said I was going to capture my memories but have not.. I have journaled a bit for Kaili, but have not sat down to write specifically about her and her quirks - not that we got to know many. Sometimes (like right now) I think about them and I love it when things just pop in my head. I think I need to write them down but still never do... maybe that is just my way of remembering?
I still have yet to finish a scrapbook for her either... it is just too hard!

At the very least journal here. That is a start. I have a gone too soon memorial page which I used as well. For me, the scrap book was done. He died on a Tuesday, we buried him the next Tuesday, I did not sleep very much during that time...so I made his scrap book so I could have it for his funeral.
Most of my best memories of the 50 days I got with Nick are here in my journals...I plan to start locking them all down and recording all of this into a juornal book.
