Sudden infant death syndrome (SIDS) is any sudden and unexplained death of an apparently healthy infant aged one month to one year. SIDS is responsible for roughly 50 deaths per 100,000 births in the US.

Hello everyone I am new to this site and wanted to share my Angel with you guys. My son Curtis III was born on March 15, 2008 at 2:19pm. He was a healthy and happy baby and given a clean bill of health. On April 25,2008 my baby got his wings.My husband came and checked on us at around 3:30am and everything was fine. At aroung 4:25 I got up to go to the restroom but decided to check on my baby first. I touched him and knew something was wrong his body was limp. I screamed my husband came in and started doing CPR while I called 911...but it was too late. He was gone. When I went to see him He looked so peaceful he even had a smile on his face. That gave me the reassurance that he was okay. On May 3, 2008 I buried my only child. I know that I will never be the same but at leaast I have my own personal Angel and I know that Curtis III ("Part 3") will always and forever be with me!

Hi...Curtis is absolutely adorable. I'm sorry you had to join this group....but Welcome. My name is Amber, and my little Arianna was born on February 27, 2008, and died on April 5. This is a great place to come to for support, to vent, to cry...this place has gotten me through many days and nights.
I look forward to talking more...(((hugs)))

HI sweety!
I am sooooooo sorry for the loss of Curtis, what a cute baby!!! I lost my Nicholas Nov. 13, 2007. I am sorry you had to find us because that means there is one more baby not here. But do know now that you are here, this site will help you. There are so many (too many) of us here and we have all had to say good bye to our babies way too soon. We are all in different stages of grief but we are here for you. Just because we are at different stages, does not mean we do not understand. You may find we all get it more so than many of those around you. Please feel free if you haven't already to read the old discussion posts, they may be very helpful, if not now but in the future. Just know if you need anything there is usually someone a click or 2 away.
NVDoula said it right, this is a good place to come to vent and cry and perhaps at some point to come and maybe have a smile or two.
Just know we are here for you hunny. Hugging you tight!!!

Oh honey, I am so sorry for your loss, Curtis is such a cutie. I lost my Arihanna on March 29th 2008, she was 2 months and 9 days old. This site has been my lifesaver on most days, it has helped me to not feel so alone all the time, and I know that there are people out there going thru the same pain I am going thru. As nicknicksmommykitkat & nvdoula said you come on here and vent and cry and maybe share a smile or tow every once in awhile.((hugs))

Thank you for sharing. Curtis is adorable. I, too, am sorry you have to join us, but welcome, and feel free to vent and cry, and as everyone has said, we are here for you. Although the hugs here are virtual, you can still feel the comfort through them, knowing that others understand.

Hi....I am sorry about Curtis....he is adorable! We are all here for eachother and I am sad that you had to find us (because your son died) but glad you did (because we all need support).
