I went for years and years unable to say the word "woman."
When I say the word "Daddy," I break things.
What's the matter with people? How can they treat others that way----especially their own CHILDREN!!!!
As for you now, are you still remembering your past with your parents? If yes, then you must forgive yourself and forgive what your parents did to you to be able to move forward. Yes, it sound dumb as to what I just said. But you as a person might have an anger from the past which you bought it to the present as of right now.
We as kids are being programs by adults with is our parents, uncles, aunts, siblings and many others. With the wrong people around us we grow up a difficult life. But if we are with the right positive people then our life is better.
Just try to relax yourself and clear your mind before you speak. If you need practice, try talking to yourself in the mirror is see what happen or sing.
In fact, once I was in a good conversation with someone else and they stopped in the middle of the sentence and asked me "did I know that I have speech problem?" I thought it was very rude, I never talked with that person again. I had another person who said to me that they knew someone in college, who stuttered. That person taught them patience. One day, when they were talking to me on the phone, they offended me, I called them back and said "do you ever say anything negative to me again. if you don't want to talk to me, don't". But you know what I did not stutter when I talked with them. I noticed that when most who stutter, get mad, they do not stutter.
But I'm very sorry for what happened to you Beaumont. That was abuse and that did not help your self esteem and confidence.
