Stuttering Support Group
Stuttering is a speech disorder in which the flow of speech is disrupted by prolongations, repetitions, and blocks of sounds, syllables, words or phrases. Give advice, share your story, and find any support you might need here.
However, it was until I developed a stutter in my late 40's did I really appreciate the attitude of others.Although the stutter bothers me the real problem is other people attitude; the looks on their face when I stutter, finishing my sentence for me or just the look on their faces.
How did the stammer come at 40?, I have never heard that before unless there was some kind of trauma in your life.
I have heard about that implant thing too, and a hearing aid like device which feeds noise into ear.
Thank you so much for posting this. I'm so glad that there's others who are in the same boat as I am.
i notice, when I stutter, I tend to want to instead use sign language. I dunno, maybe learning sign language , pretending to be mute would give us the liberty ?
I do know I stutter during situations like job interviews. Damn I really hate it.
but i'm glad to know you people
do you have any advice?
