A stroke is an acute neurologic injury where the blood supply to a part of the brain is interrupted, either by a clot in the artery or if the artery bursts. The brain perfused by that artery no longer receiving oxygen carried by the blood and dying with cessation of function from that part of the brain.

First, I'm 62, have MS since 1999 and has progressed to the point that I use a power wheelchair as cannot walk, and am paralized on my right side. I still can think, have bodily functions, and my five senses are iintact. My last MIR showed I had 3 mini stokes. What does this mean?

Ask your doctor to tell you. He knows your personal health
history. My husband had a major stroke two years ago and had
a mini stroke a couple of months ago. The doctor put him on low dose aspirin.
Said nothing else he could do. I don't know anything about MS though.

I have had MS for 26 years . 23 years ago during My 3rd pregnancy I had a massive stroke. My MS progressed rapidly and I have been semi quadriplegic since. The last 5 years have been the most challenging so far.

For me mini- strokes are black outs\ spacing out\ losing consciousness for a very short time. But it could be different things. Medication normally controls mine.

    I'm trying to figure out if I have the most! LoL :-0)i think I am now at ten plus another wedge to make it so they do not fall between headboard/mattress that runs full width of king bed.Did I win? I'm also sharing pillows with two doggies. Happy really likes getting up onto them and Belle is sometimes up there too.
