Stroke Support Group
A stroke is an acute neurologic injury where the blood supply to a part of the brain is interrupted, either by a clot in the artery or if the artery bursts. The brain perfused by that artery no longer receiving oxygen carried by the blood and dying with cessation of function from that part of the brain.
I'd like to have that MRI, but will see if another Dr will sign for it, even if I pay for it myself, I still need a Dr to sign. I live in Alberta, very hard to have a regular GP here.
If nothing shows on the MRI, at least it will put my mind at rest and not continually wonder about what happened, and if it's going to happen again.
From what I've read migraineurs are more prone to strokes...not great.
DGS I'm so sorry you had a stroke, I do hope that you are doing well. Take care.

you are most welcome.I wanted to add that an MRI will show more than a CT.They do mine with and without contrast(dye),and it will show everything. My migraines even show up.All my best-Jen
