A stroke is an acute neurologic injury where the blood supply to a part of the brain is interrupted, either by a clot in the artery or if the artery bursts. The brain perfused by that artery no longer receiving oxygen carried by the blood and dying with cessation of function from that part of the brain.
Hello my name is sandra, On Dec 10, 2019 my beloved Gary had a stroke . He was rushed to hospital . Doctor pulled me aside abd said he also had hemmoraging in his brain. They oerfirmed syrgery and ran a stent to drain fluid. By tge next day the Neuro Surgeon told me and my family he only has a 10 percent chance of living. He also added he would be in a vegetated statethe and never breathe on his own. Doctor also stated gather your lived ones because he will not make it through the Night. My heart broke into a million pieces.
I told the Doctor well then that 10 percent is in GODS Hands. He made through he night. They had him heavily sedated. He was in PVHospital for 3 more weeks in ICU. Everyday Doctors and nurses said to me Pull the plug , make him comfortable. I told them its still in Gods Hands. When brain hemmirage stopped . They put trache in and removed plastic that was put in mouth to breathe.He cannot move any parts of his body, just his eyes.
They moved him to a Subacute.He was there for about a month . While there they told me he also has Leukemia and contracted Myrsa. That SubAcute said there is nothing more they Can for him. So I have to find a lower level care Facility for him to go to.
The Lower level Acute Care us a step abive NursIng Homes. This facility is ok , He is ok but they are not ontop of things. Thats just One issue. My Hubby Gary did not put me on his Bank Accounts, So Now the Rent is DUE in 2 weeks and so are all of the other Bills. I am trying to get Conservatorship for mfical and finances. I Still gave Faith in God. May God Bless eveyone in this support group. Pray to God for he is the way..

I'm so sorry to hear your circumstances Sandra! My heart goes out to you and feel horrible for complaining since mine is better. My husband couldn't talk and he's right side was completely paralyzed and now he's able to talk with a slight slurr and walk with a cane, he still has no real use oh he's right hand and arm but there is a little movement. This is after 4-1/2 months since his stroke. Be strong and have hope miracles do happen. I will keep you both in my prayers

I am so sorry to hear about your husband. I am 56 years old. Gary is 66 years old.
I see we have similar stories. I know you definately know what Im going through. Thank you do much for taking the time to read and comment. The Struggle is real. I am very happy to hear that your ok now. May God Send an Angel to watch over you always. I really cant plan his recovery because everyday is different. When the phone rings in during crazy hours and subacute number comes up, my heart skips a beat. So your in Israel. Im also sorry they shipped your husband far away. Its sad when you lose your insurance. Sorry about tge Pension too. My heart goes out to you. I cry a few minutes everyday. I know to keep it to a minimum or I wouldnt be able to Focus on everything thats coming at me. I guess one good thing is Im losing weight, not that I was heavy. Im in San diego , California. We should have moved to Canada where everyone has health coverage.

for the work, I stop one gob retire from the one and now I have one I put it part-time only 15 hours a week in two days I will see if I passed the driving test. I already download the uber app so I used when snow or rain and I use the bus I don't take chances with my life or anybody else.i pray for you Sandra
