I take 81mg of coated delayed release acetylsalicyclic acid every other day as a preventative measure recommended by the Doctor. I haven't a clue if it helps, though I do bleed more easily with my blood glucose tests when I prick my finger.

I am very sensitive to aspirin in my stomach which is one reason for going for every two days I guess. I have a problem with bleeding in my stomach even with coated aspirin.

I've had two strokes, have an AVM that just went through two years of embolizations and finally gamma-knife radiation, and I can tell you that Aspirin may or may not be your answer.

I have been told NEVER to take it as it will thin the blood, and that could cause me further problems if a blood vessel or artery in my head has burst. (I think the thinning blood is why DarrellWade bleeds more easily.)

In my case, I would want the vessel to clot or stop the bleed as fast as possible.

I think that the aspirin recommendation is mostly for cardiac patients.

Question? This site seems to be primarily for those who suffer from Lupus. I know some Fibro sufferers have Lupus as well, but I really didn't find too much about Fibro there. Thanks for the info, though.

This si a website for INVISABLE illnesses.. they ahve many lsited..I didnt see fibro on their list..they did have arthritis, cancer lupus etc..I will check them out further later on when I get home..It seems to be an interesting site..I just hope they feel that FIBRO "COUNTS".
