I was going to say one of the things you posted (meditation), but since you wanted a different type of activity, I will do my absolute best to help. I find myself in your shoes because I experience holding my emotions and anger inside, until it gets to a point where it all seems to boil over and cause another situation to occur, taking anger of a situation out on someone.
I had anger issues as a kid because I felt like my parents ignored me and paid attention only to my sister, even though she was mischievous and was always getting into some trouble. I wanted to share my goals and dreams with them, but they always waived me off and made me do what they did with their lives because it worked for them, so naturally it should work for me too. Too many arguments happened and blowups with my mom. In the past two years, I let my anger swell up inside of me and it boiled over twice to my mom where I screamed at her for all the things she did and the control she had over my life, It nearly destroyed my relationship with my mom, still have some bitterness and try to talk to her, but she interrupts me after I say only two sentences.
Ok, enough about me, this post is about you and helping you out with your situation. One piece of advice I have is putting yourself in an isolated room and talk out loud as you would in a normal conversation. Say what's on your mind, imagine the person you want to talk to is there, call the person by his/her name, just spill it all out, curse words and all. After that, take a few deep breaths and step back out to wherever you are. I find this method relieves this built-up pressure/negative emotions that resides inside. It helps you communicate your feelings in your own environment and say what's on your mind. I've had to do this recently to let it all out and then come back feeling refreshed. I also live in an apartment complex where the walls are kinda thin and I think my neighbors might think I'm crazy with all this talking!
In all seriousness, whatever you find relieving for you and whatever helps you work through the anger and stress, go for it and kick its butt.
