I live daily with anxiety and major depression d/t life events in the past few years. I take antidepressants and antianxiety medicine. I also am on hormone replacement as I a post menopausal which hasn't helped anything. They make life bearable
I'm a nurse and have been since 1995. It could be your anxiety and OCD would make you a better nurse b/c you'd double check yourself all the time. Just saying.
I can tell you one thing.
MEDICATION IS NOT THE ANSWER.
It might be a temporary fix but if you are an analyst as I suspect you are, like me, you will constantly analyze even consuming medication and will just get yourself in a tangle of drugs that mess with your brain chemistry one after the other then you'll be stuck where I am, in PAWS, post acute withdrawal syndrome with a mentally challenged brain and struggling every single day to NOT use them again.
Don't do it.
I don't have the answers because I too am here for support but do not take medications.
I beleive once we know some of the causes of our stress we can better deal with the stress. Some things can be avoided or even eliminated from our lives, but some stressors can't, the ones we can't eliminate are the ones we have to learn to cope with.
I wish you well, and pray your strength.
