Stress Management Support Group
Stress management defines stress as a person's physiological response to an external stimulus that triggers the "fight-or-flight" reaction.Stress can be overwhelming. This community is for best practices in stress management.
As for the person who is harassing you, I had this too pretty bad in high school and college. I had guys that wanted to pummel me and every party I went to I'd worry if this person would be there. Often they were. Nothing ever happened in the end. I guess that old saying which I have certainly found to be true, is that most things that people worry about never materialize. Worrying about it doesn't seem to help the situation. I know this is not an action plan to elevate stress, to say "Don't worry"....but what helped me was exercise, (changes your body chemistry and releases feel-good endorphins) and occupation of the mind. If you are busy, working, hobbies, with friends, your mind doesn't have time to dwell on these problems. I currently have problems that keep me awake at night or wake me at 4am and I can't go back to sleep cuz they churn in my head. but I try and create things to look forward to, like a concert with a friend, camping trip, road trip, exhibitions, daily walks with my dogs, whatever...just so there is always something positive to focus on and look forward too. Trust me that your problems are transitory. In 6 months from now or a year, they won't be an issue. Anyway, these are my tips and suggestions and sharing. Hope it's helpful.
