I do yoga every night and the occasional meditation session to help unwind and reflect on the day I had. I try to find the positive in the day and carry it with me as I continue to go about my evening. I try not to think about the negativity or situation before going to bed; I tell myself to think about it tomorrow, not now. Just like Scarlett O'Hara, "After all, tomorrow is another day".
When I make a mistake, I write it down and update my suggestions on an ongoing basis. Once I have critiqued myself, then I try to go on and relax and that does help to a large agent. Age too, for some, you relax more and realize not to worry about what you can't change. I look at my list and think I'm doing better.
While I was poorly organized, I'm now paying most bills reasonably regularly. While I would not call myself well-organized, I think I have come up to average which is a good accomplishment for me.
One story. When Zusya was about to die, he said I see what will happen when I enter the next world. Nobody will ask me, why was I not Moses? I am not expected to be Moses. Nobody will ask me, why was I not Einstein I am not expected to be Einstein. They will ask me, Why was I not Zusya? That is was I the best Zusya I could be during my lifetime.
So don't try or expect to be someone else, or measure yourself against them. But just consider were you the best you could be given your situation.
