sdwill, I just joined this group today. I feel a lot like you do, only I have never taken medication. I think a big part of my problem (and perhaps yours) is that we get stressed out over EVERYTHING, even those things that are way out of our control. I wish I could tell you how to deal with it, but I am here because I do not know the answer to your question yet. I hope that, in time, we may feel calm and like our "normal" (whatever that is) selves again.

Yes, I do get stressed out over every little thing. I wish I could just relax. I am single with 3 kids and NO help. I work full time and now my 21 yr old daughter has moved back in and brought her boyfriend to homestead even though I told her no. He doesn't work. So I have my three kids, my granddaughter, and my daughter's boyfriend. I can't take it. I can't afford to feed extra mouths. My daughter has just got a job after being jobless for over a year. She has to be told to do everything. She don't care if the house is a disaster and I can't handle it. I hate waking up to a mess and I hate coming home after work to one. My GOD I just need a break!!!!! My stress level is through the roof.

Oh sweetie, the first thing you need is to learn to say NO to your daughter and boyfriend. How can you convince them to move out? First thing for me would be not to feed them, not to have any food in the house for them to eat. Lock it up if you have to. Take the door off the room they're sleeping in. You probably won't do it, but I would get a court order of protection so they can't come within 300 feet of you or your home.

That's not even the worst of it. She moved out of my house three months ago and took one of my debit cards and her and her boyfriend was living off me and I didn't know. Ended up paying $1200.00 in overdraft fees at the bank. She didn't know I was broke because the bank continued to let the transactions go thru. Anyway, I just feel like I'm about to go crazy. I've been divorced for 20 yrs. I'm lonely and tired but who would want someone with so many issues? I feel hopeless.

Sounds like she doesn't care what she does to you and that she's just walking all over you. Young people can be like that if they don't know better. Later in life, when she grows up, she'll be a better person.

I don't see how you're responsible for any of the charges she made if she fraudelently used your card. You're probably not responsible for overdraft fees on unuathorized transaction. Contact the bank and they'll know what to do. They might insist on you cooperating with the police get. If so they'll supply some firm community guidance.

It sounds harsh, but if you keep bending to her will one day you'll snap. You're already shaking like you're reaching that point.

How does a baby learn to walk? Try, fall down, get up, try again. Right now you're carrying your daughter and she's not learning how to make her way in life.

Yes, the bank would take care of the charges if I press charges against her. I just can't do that. She and her boyfriend went to stay with her day yesterday. I want her to continue to stay with me when my granddaughter is with her, but not bring the boy. I don't have men sleep over and she can't either. I know that I have to learn to put my foot down.
