I am a little scared to be sharing this with everyone but I know that in the end it will all be okay. I am a very shy person and it has been a long time since I have even posted here. Right after the loss of my son, Joshua, I found this support group and it definitely helped a lot. But, I fell deep into my grief and isolated myself from everything. I could not work and all I wanted to do was watch TV all day. I finally built up the courage to go back to work in May this year and also to seek help from my doctor. I have been put on Paxil originally and now I am on Zoloft to help with my depression.

It was 1 year on September 4, 2014 since I lost the most precious little boy and I have found many things to work through my depression and grief. I have also started a blog recently and I want to share that with you today. I started this blog, as you will see, to share the different things I have done to cope, resources that I have found, and most importantly, a place for all of you to share your stories.

Again, I am very scared of this for some reason.. I always feel like I will fail or I am not good enough. So, please don't judge and hopefully you will all find a little comfort.

Thanks..... I am sorry for your loss. I want to do something too. I don't want nobody to ever forget about my son. Although i lost him at 36 wjs of my pregnancy he impaxted my life in every kind of way.

Thank you and I am sorry for your loss also. Our children will change our life entirely, especially ones who never got to take their first breath. We are so different deep down than the average person, so we are the only ones who can understand what we are going through. This is the type of support we all need. Hopefully, one day, we can make a difference!

Thank you for sharing. It helps to hear how others have coped with this incredible loss. My son was stillborn on October 19, 2014 and there are moments when it feels like I will never be able to get through the pain and live any kind of normal life again.

I visited ur blog.... very nice.... hopefully one day i'll start creating mine. Its going to be 6 months on the 29. Since i lost Eli. I was 36 weeks. I still have his nursery room. I still have all his baby clothes. I dont want to get rid of anything.

And Marthar1201.. you don't have to get rid of anything. Some people say it helps to deal with the loss.. but I know that if I got rid of his things and changed the room.. it would make things so much worse! I'd be lost. Having his things around just means he existed and there is nothing wrong with it.

I think you have to do what works for you. It has been years since my little boy died, and I still have a few things, plus the cards/notes people close to me had sent me. I have the gown he wore at the hospital, along with his receiving blankets and little hat all in a small box. I don't think I will ever be able to part with these things. It's all in what helps you to heal. I found it comforting to keep some things. Others may not.

I will be sure to check out your blog. I created a website at the time of my loss. It is no longer there, but it did really help me to heal and to make me feel as if my baby wasn't forgotten. I'm glad you did this:)

I visited your blog, you've done a lovely job in memory of your beautiful baby. I agree with Rochelle43, you need to do what works for you. I lit a candle every day for 4 years in front of a picture of my little Jane, she would have turned 12 this past August. Now I have little things that belonged to her packed away in a box, even the tiny urn that held her ashes before we scattered them. I kept every little thing of her that I could. I take them out from time to time and touch them and look at pictures and mementos and I often wonder what she'd be like now, how tall would she be, would she play sports, what her favorite subject in school would be, she'd be in 6 th grade this year. I no longer feel the crippling grief that I did when we lost her but I will always wonder who she was going to be, that question is always tinged with sadness because I'll never know the answer. My thoughts and good wishes are with all you heartbroken moms who are just starting out on this journey, be good to yourselves.

I can't get rid of anything. I've even got the vitamins I was taking at the time saved. I had so little time with her and so few memories that I keep everything that is connected with her because it is all I have of her.

I definitely respect that AngelEmmaRose. I still have the pregnancy tests that I took when I found out I was pregnant with Joshua.

These things are the only precious memories we have.

It was very nice. I lost my baby Evelyn on 10-15-2014. I still have my baby's clothes and bottles. I will never get rid of any of it. I feel like if I try to get rid of any of her things, then I am trying to get rid of her from my life. Her precious things are what help keep my baby's memories alive. It's painful but it helps comfort me to know that she once existed and she was and is still my baby girl.
