Three of my coworkers have pregnant daughters all due in Oct so there's alot of talk about their upcoming grandbabies at work (naturally). There's also a coworker due in Nov. They've been showing off ultrasound pictures for the last couple of weeks. None of them, however, have shown them to me or even mentioned them to me, I know about it through my good friend, who hears all the gossip and because I have seen them passing them around. I know about all this and the pregnancy chatter that goes on by these proud grandmas and moms. They'll be talking, if I walk by they all erase their smiles from their faces and become silent, just staring at me walk by. I HATE this, I know they're scared of how I may feel, but I hate being the outcast! I feel like I'm ruining everyone's excitement, like they wish I wasn't around so they can talk freely of these things without feeling any guilt or feeling sorry for me. Some even avoid me like a have a disease or their prego daughters may suffer what I did if they get too close to me. Am I being paranoid? Has anyone experienced this before?
