I broke down again tonight. I went to buy clothes for my son and daughter to wear to Gemma's funeral on Friday. I was overwhelmed when I saw pretty little girl clothes that I would never get to buy for Gemma. I will never get to buy she and her sister matching outfits. I am overwhelmed by stupid people who have known me my whole life and avoid me because they don't know what to say to me. Then I come here and find other people suffering through the same things. I am hurting so much that I find it hard to be thankful for much this Thanksgiving but I am thankful for all the comfort and kind words all of you have expressed since this nightmare began. I pray all of you will find peace and comfort.
Now, 3 Holiday seasons later... I think of my Annaya who would be 2 years old this Christmas. I am about to decorate her special tree and adding a few new ornaments this year. But, this year seems a little more calm.
Time does not mean that you forget, nor does it mean that the pain completely ceases...
My heart aches for and with you. There will come a time when you will see something that you would have loved to see on Gemma and you will buy it and donate it in her memory. I do that all the time in memory of Annaya.
