Stillbirth Support Group
This community is dedicated to those who have been impacted by a stillbirth. A stillbirth occurs when a fetus which has died in the uterus, during labor, or during delivery exits a woman's body. For help and support, share your experiences and learn how others coped. Don't forget that you are not alone.
Some fellow Angel mommies and I have set up a new foundation. "Sent too soon foundation" description
"We are a group of angel mommys who want to make people more aware of stillborn,neonatal and infant deaths. Deaths in babys and infants is a subject in which people do not like to talk about and in most cases people are not aware of how often this happpens until it has happened to them. This is a heartbreaking situation to be in and all of us mommys know how much we needed support when we lost our babies, we want to make the expereince as gentle as we can for new angel mommys.
We have come up with the idea of the "Sent too soon foundation"
Our aims are to raise money for our foundation so that we are able to:
- hold conventions in different countries so that people become more aware of stillbirth and infant death and that nurses/doctors understand how women feel when their baby/infant has been stillborn or died after birth.
-at fairs/festivals have booths to hand out leaflets so that people become more aware and to help people whos friends/family have lost a baby
- hold group meetings in your area so that angel mommys can come together and talk about their angels and their feelings
-In time hopefuly bring awerness to hospitals that a special clinic is needed for familys that are giving birth to a child who has already passed away or has no chance of survival. Its hard enough for a mother to lose a child, but the aftermaths can be even harder. These clinics will offer a family a safe place to deliver their child.Appoints after birth will also be at these clinics so Angel mommys dont have to worry about being around pregnant woman and be more saddened by it. Also these clinics will be trained how to deal with the family. Only with love and support. They will be trained about infant death and be able to provide the families with the correct information needed to help these families. Also Local Angel mommies can be on standby to offer help and guidence to new angel families and if possible be with the new mothers at clinic during ths hard time.So many hospitals have no idea how to deal with a family that has just lost a baby. We NEED these clinics out there for ALL future angel mommies.
We know its going to take time but if everyone did their own little bit in their own area by raising money we could do something amazing. We can make this happen if we all work together. This is a great cause and not only do we desearve this but all future angel mommies do too. To know that we came togther and made a difference in is world. There is nothing greater than that to honor our sleeping angels

i really love this, what's a good way to get involved how are we going to promote this? i think we should get some sponsors involved like either a big bank or the hospital to help raise the money also, it would most likely be more successful. let me know if you think thats a good idea?!? if not where are you going to hold your fund raiser?
