Hi,
I am trying to start something in my town. I've noticed a huge lack of, or desire for more, pictures of our precious stillborn children. So I am offering the hospitals and ob's here to come in and take pictures for greiving families. Our hospital took a horrible picture of my son, and I would hate for a family to walk away and thats all they have. My sister took a bunch of pictures and they have really helped me, finishing Liam's scrapbook and putting them up. Sometimes just looking at his sweet face eases this pain in my heart. I've looked at his pictures for hours before.
So my question...Does anyone have any idea. I have no pictures of just Liam full body, which I crave. And I want to offer family shots.
I know going into this that it will be increadibly hard. But bringing some comfort to a grieiving family...even if Im not able to see it, is something I reallly want to do. A way to honor my son and bring respect to others. Im thinking of calling it 'A Mother's Hand's Photography" or simply "Liam's Photography" I cant deside. With a tag line of "A mother sees the beauty in all things." Joel's going to make me a website. I wont charge families for this service, but donations will be taken.
I hope to do some good for someone.
Any suggestions? Did anyone have a photographer come in? What did they do that helped/hurted? I plan on being as quiet as possible, so as not to intrude.

If I were you I would just let instinct take over take any and all shots and let the family decide what they want. If you ask they may say no they don't want a particular picture, but I think we all now wish that we had those pictures that were never taken. Good luck let us no how it goes.
Maybe you could volunteer for them?
