Hi Everyone,
I am new here. This past sunday marked my babie's first Angelversary. I chose not to TTC for an entire year as my act of mourning in honor of my beautiful baby born sleeping in 2015. It has been the worst year of my life and I miss him deeply each and every day but I am so glad I held off to mourn and grive the loss of my son. We lost him at 31 weeks, he was perfectly formed and it was a complete shcok to us. The trauma is real and now I feel anxiety about trying again. We never got a real answer as to what happened to our baby or why his heart stopped beating. There was no cord accident and he was developing on track with a strong heart beat. We have seen a perinatologist/high risk ob/fetal specialist and even a gentic counselor. No one has really addressed my concerns fully. I really want to reduce as much possibility of this happening again.
I wonder, have any of you tried to see an infertility doctor after stillbirth?
I know they perform very though diagnostics for their fertility patients to rule out many of the known pregnancy risk factors. I know I can have babies, since my first born's pregnancy was succesful and he is now 3 yrs old. However I kow that after having a stillbirth, I am at higher risk for another loss. I just want to check that my anatomy, genetics and hormoses are all healthy before trying again. Let me know what you guys think of a fertility doctor after stillbirth.
