My daughter Olivia Grace was born silent at 35.2weeks on February 28, 2013. We knew she had major complications and was diagnosed with something called a congenital diaphragmatic hernia, as well as having multiple skeletal defects in her extremities and a few other birth defects including a missing kidney and the kidney she did have not being very functional. I became pre-eclamptic and delivered Olivia, who was frank breech, at 6:55am. A week prior, my fianc and I had already decided on comfort care/perinatal hospice upon birth, so there were no heroic measures taken for her upon discovering she had no heart beat after delivery. She had the most perfect and peaceful looking face I had ever seen. Truly something beautiful.
Currently, I feel OK. But that is because I do my very best to not think about it. I've become numb. The past three and a half months since we found out about all of the things that went terribly wrong while Olivia was growing.
I have a constant headache and little things set me off. I know my fianc is trying to help but doesn't know how. I wish I knew what to tell him. He is also not doing well and just wants her with us as badly as I do.
I have an OB appointment today to check up on my blood pressure. He'll probably put me on medication to control it because its still jumping all over the place. I'm hoping he'll put me back on my anxiety medication, since I have a generalized anxiety disorder and obviously all of this isn't helping with that or depression. Not sure what's going to happen at this point and now I think I am rambling. Thanks for listening.

Hello I am so sorry for the loss of your daughter. My heart goes out to you. I lost my baby at 37 weeks in January. Your daughter is beautiful. You have a little angel watching over you. You will experience many feelings as we all have. You will have painful days and days where you feel okay. Its okay to have your emotions spiral all over. Sometimes you may feel a bit better when you let it all out. I have days where I stay in my PJ's and I cry and yell. I think about my daughter always. I sometimes imagine she is waiting for me to get home. But when I get home she is not here, then I'm sad. I do believe that when I die I will be with her again. Try to believe that too. There are no words that could take away the pain and nothing ever will. The Lose of a child is a terrible experience which nobody should deal with. God bless.

Our angels have the same birthday! My little boy was born on February 28 in 2011. He would be 2. We lost him at 39 weeks for unknown reasons. I was preeclamptic as well upon admission to the hospital and Aaron was frank breech too. I'm very sorry for your losses of both angels but glad you found this site to help you vent/cope. I remember that numb feeling. I think it will wear off soon and you'll eventually have to deal with your loss. Just know that it's ok to be on an emotional roller coaster when it happens. You'll probably have a good minute then two bad minutes and you never know what the next minute is gonna hold. I'm not telling you this to scare you but just so you know it's alright to feel like you're gonna go crazy. I told someone else there is no "right" way to grieve so do whatever you feel that you need to. Cry and be angry, don't hold it in. Reality sets in and is a cruel reminder of what has happened. I journal a lot, it helps to get it out. I'm so sorry for your losses sweet lady. I'm glad you have a supportive fiance. Lean on each other and pull strength from each other. I hope yall find some peaceful moments over the next few months. Hugs and love, Jessie

I am so sorry for your loss. Thank you for sharing your story. You have been through a great deal, be patient and gentle with yourself. The conglomeration of feelings and "non-feeling" can be overwhelming and confusing. Take time to recover physically, emotionally and spiritually.
