Tomorrow is my baby's due date, January 30th, 2017. It's definitely hard because I can't help thinking that my baby girl should still be here. I spent a lot of time this morning replaying what happened the day she passed about 6 weeks ago on December 18, 2016. At my last prenatal appointment, about 2 weeks prior to her passing, I told my doctor that I had been experiencing soreness in my pelvic region and pelvic pressure so she checked my cervix. Then she said my cervix was closed and what I probably was feeling was round ligament pain and how my baby was positioned. The night before my baby passed, I had experienced a lot of pelvic pressure more than usual. I had been walking around a lot more than usual that day so I figured that was why. Several hours later at around 4 am I was getting up to use the bathroom and I felt a gush of fluid. When I looked to see what it was it was blood and I immediately told my fiancé. Long story short, I had a placental abruption. I'll never know if all the pelvic pain I was experiencing that day may have been a warning sign that I was having a placental abruption or if the pelvic pain was normal and the abruption came out of nowhere. This weighs on my mind a lot and it's been really tough lately.
