It has been more than 4 months since i lost my baby boy to still birth on September 18th 2014 and still i am getting bills from the hospital and the doctor's office. I have already paid most of them but today a new bill came in again. It is a sad reminder that my baby is no more with me and the whole experience of going to the doctor's office and the delivery followed by holding my silent cold baby repeats in my mind. i don't understand why can't they send all the bill at once. Why do they have to bill it so many times and also not billing the insurance properly. One day i get the statement from the insurance that how much they paid for me, another time i get the bill from the hospital without claiming to the insurance , other time after claiming to the insurance. One bill is from the Obstetric doctor, another bill is for the ultrasound they did in the hospital again to confirm my baby's death, again one more comes from the nephrologist who saw me only because my obstetric was concerned that my sudden high blood pressure might have damaged my kidneys and so the list goes on. I just stayed in hospital for 2 days and all the procedures took place in the same hospital. It all seems so ridiculous especially in a country like USA which is so called to be advanced country. I don't want to be offensive but actually i am immigrant here and come from so called third world country and before coming to USA i had in my mind that all the systems must be very disciplined here but i feel so sorry when i now know the reality. The system was much much better in my country. I don't understand why my husband wants to stay here and if not for my husband i would have gone back.
