Stillbirth Support Group
This community is dedicated to those who have been impacted by a stillbirth. A stillbirth occurs when a fetus which has died in the uterus, during labor, or during delivery exits a woman's body. For help and support, share your experiences and learn how others coped. Don't forget that you are not alone.
I craved oranges and gummy bears while I was pregnant with Aaron. And I remember feeling him move a lot sooner than I did when I was pregnant with my first little boy Isaiah. We were so sure he was a girl until around 18 weeks or so. Lol. We called him Isaiah's little sister up until then -- boy were we wrong! I loved watching him on the ultrasound screen...watching him move and kick. There was one time when his hand appeared on the screen and it was crystal clear and he opened his little fingers and it was as if he was waving to us. Then there was one evening I was laying on the bed and I just fallen asleep and he moved so big that I woke up laughing and I thought, "wow you didn't want mama to go to sleep huh?" I loved it when my husband would put his face up to my belly and say, "Aaron this is your daddy. I love you so much." and he would sing him the abc's.
Aaron, baby, I love you so much and I can't wait to hold you in Heaven!
My baby boy loved to eat bagels. I ate them daily for the first 3 months. After that, he switched over to fruit.
Zig also loved Bon Jovi. I took him to a concert at Madison Square Garden one week before he was delivered and he went nuts! Squirmed the entire time.
Thank you, SophiasMom, for the idea to do this. It's a nice change for me to reflect on the good :)
Brayden loved loud music! In the car and I remember he went especially crazy at a live band. He was a busy boy when I was at work and some co-workers even saw him squirming around. He was a morning baby. I was nervous about that and thought I would never get to sleep in becuase he was up bright and early. He loved late night snacks...okay...maybe that was me :) As for food...he was like his momma and liked everything. My husband would kiss my belly and say 'goodnight baby' every night. He must have been athletic becuase he could kick in places that I didn't even know I had. And he kicked hard :) He wasn't shy..he would kick anyone who put their hand on my belly. I loved my pregnancy. Every bit of it.
Miss you and love you Brayden!
I loved being pregnant. It was the most wonderful experience I've ever had. I loved the life inside of me and the personality he developed. My little angel loved berries. All berries. I'd eat about 2 pounds of berries a day the first 16 weeks of my pregnancy. After that he turned to fries. Salty fries were his favorite.
The first time I heard his heartbeat I cried. It was the most wonderful sound in the entire world. I bought a doppler and listened to his little heart beating so strongly nearly every night. It was usually 158 bpm. He loved jumping on my bladder. My students made fun of me for needing to go to the bathroom every half hour. He waved to us and jumped around like a little froggie every time we had an ultrasound. He smiled. He yawned. He hiccuped. He slept. He played. He gave us thumbs up.
I was convinced he was a she. At 15 weeks they told us it was a he. At 21 weeks they told us it was a she. Our little angel was playing funny tricks on us. My husband talked to him constantly. Every night we'd lie on the bed and tell him we couldn't wait to meet him. We told him we loved him more than life itself. We told him he was the most wanted baby in the entire world. We told him we were the happiest parents. We shared the plans we had for him.
Then at 22 weeks they told us he was gone. And our entire world crumbled.
I love you sweetheart. And I miss you so much. And I can't wait to meet you in heaven and hold you close to me forever.
