This community is dedicated to those who have been impacted by a stillbirth. A stillbirth occurs when a fetus which has died in the uterus, during labor, or during delivery exits a woman's body. Its almost been one year since my son Liam was born on Jan 28th.
Ive had a really hard time, slipping into slumps not wanting to get out of bed or do anything. I just cant believe its almost a year since i held his sweet body. Kissed his face, held his hand...
A dear friend from DS suggested asking people to donate blood in honor of Liam. I think this is a great idea, and working towards that has given me a focus i've needed.
Liam received purified blood through my belly that was hopfully going to save him, and in honor of that I'm asking others to donate this month..perhaps this will help save other children's lives...and in doing so it is a way my Liam will live on.
And also my hubbby Joel has recieved several blood transfusions that might have saved his life, so I know how powerful a donation can be. If you are able would you consider remembering my son on or around Jan 28th by giving blood?
If you are unable to give, please light a candle and remember him. We are the unlucky mother's who are terrorfied our children will be forgotten by others, while constantly on our thoughts.
