Stillbirth Support Group
This community is dedicated to those who have been impacted by a stillbirth. A stillbirth occurs when a fetus which has died in the uterus, during labor, or during delivery exits a woman's body. For help and support, share your experiences and learn how others coped. Don't forget that you are not alone.
It is totally normal to be where you are right now. It has not even been a week since your loss, and thise early days it is a challenge just to breathe, I remember feeling like I was going crazy, and was constantly "hearing" my baby cry or "feeling" her kick. It will get better, but it takes time. I wish I could tell you otherwise.
I also have two living children, and after losing Chiara in January at 37 weeks, I really felt I had to hold it together for them. But what I realized is that watching me grieve is actually healthy for them in the long run.
Do you have good support from your husband and family? We are here for you, always. Whatever yiu are feeling and thinking, I guarantee we have thought and felt it. Knowing that was at least somewhat helpful to me in the early days.
Remembering your darling Gemma with you, and praying for peace for you and your family.
you are not alone honey. I too lost my sweet baby boy on Oct 9 and at 37 weeks and I am not still believe that my sweet baby is an angle now. I know it is horrible. I know you are devastated. I know you just want to cry. we are all here for each other and we all have been through terrible tragedy. But hoping someday we will be happy again.
Remember two other beautiful children need you. Try to be strong for them.
I have another child and felt I needed to pull myself together for him. My son was a big help in my healing. I would hug him and cuddle with him, thinking how blessed I was to have him as my son. When our baby passed it put things into perspective for me. I saw the blessings in my life. Even though there was a lot of pain. Holding onto something positive was my anchor.
