Firstly, I want to start off by saying that i am truly sorry for all of your losses. I have gone through the same situation this past march. My daughter was supposed to be born June 2017, but she was born sleeping on March 23rd 2017. I still cannot get over what happened because I feel like everyone around me are having happy healthy babies and that is being thrown in my face. I used to be a religious person but not anymore. Just the thought of writing this brings tears to my eyes.I just don't undertsand it. I was told at 22 weeks by my ob that my baby was measuring about a month small so he decided to send me to a specialist. A little over a week later, the specialist visit was horrible. He told me that we had some options, option 1 was to terminate the pregnancy but that we would have only 4 days to think about that because on the following tuesday the state of florida would not allow me to do so due to the fact that I would be 24 weeks abd we would have to go out of state. option two was that we could keep the baby and he would do all he could to help us and we would have to deliver the baby early and that he didn't think we could make the baby get to 28 weeks. He also thought that we should get an amniocentisis to rule out any abnormailities. I didn't believe that we should take the risk of the amnio so i decided not to do it. So the doctor set me up to come every week, once per week. My next visit the ultrasound tech noticed that i had low fluid, the doctor had never mentioned that to me. but the doctor showed me the flow chart of what would happen, he should me what a normal baby's flow looked like, he showed me where my baby's flow was and he showed me what it would look like if my baby hit absent and reverse flow and that it would be dangerous and the baby could die. i asked him how soon would the absent and reverse flow occur and he told me not to worry because it doesnt happen overnight. the following week when i went to the specialist, sure enough the baby hit absent and reverse flow, the doctor made the tech perform tests fourt times to be sure and he still chose not to deliver and save whatever chance my baby had. so i thought maybe i should be on bed rest and not work, he said no, i could go to work and do normal things. he opted to give me steroid shots, he said that i could administer them or i could come back and let one of the assistants do it. i chose to allow the assistants to do it and it hurt like crap. i was crying and asked if we were going to deliver soon and the doctor simply said he wants to wait, it could be next week or it could be the week after that. i was torn nd felt that no one wanted to help me, so i called my ob to see if i could get him to deliver because i thought that maybe she would have had a fighting chance being in the nicu, my ob wasn't available but his assistant told me that i would receive a call from him over the weekend and so i waited. And no call. On tuesday, March 21st, i went to the hospital becaus ei was not feeling the baby move, and they did an ultrasound and the resultes were bad, the baby was all balled up and really low fluid, we couldn't even get a good picture, it was all blurred. The nurse told me that the doctor would be in to see me, and No doctor ever came to see me, few minutes later the nurse came in with the discharge papers. i was crying because they told me the baby had not gained weight and i wanted to know where i could get a doppler so i could monitor her heartbeat and feel ok. but the nurse coudln't tell me where to get it from. So, I left the hospital and went back to work. The next morning i got ready to go to my doctors appointment with the specialist, and i was hoping i could convince him to deliver. when we got there the tech just put the stuff on my belly and touched it with the doppler and said...OH NO! I jumped up and asked her what, she was silent and ran out the room to return with the doctor, who asked me when was the last time i felt my baby move because she has no heartbeat. i screamed at the top of my lungs because i went to the hospital for help the day before and i thought they shouldve kept me. the specialist decided that we shoulg go to the hospital so to go home and pack or we could wait until my ob got back into town. Not to taker anything away from miscarriages but the worst feeling in the world is to deliver a stillborn, when everyone next to you was in their delivery room and you could hear their babies crying outloud.
It's not fair for any of us to go through This!!
As for talking to people it does help and it doesnt mean that every conversation has to be sad and a downer. I hope that you do have a few close family/friends that are willing to talk about your daughter with you. My biggest fear is that people will forget my son...which breaks my heart. This group does help (once you figure out how to use it...insert me being an computer idiot) and it helps to know that we are not alone and people do care and are willing to talk about things with us.
