How do you face the outside world?

Hi everyone...


I recently just had my hair done, and I haven't been out around the public really since our son was born still at 37 weeks, and for those of you who have had this experience and have had time to grieve how do you face the outside world with the questions do you have any kids? How many? Do you think you will have anymore?


I was asked these questions and I panicked I want to acknowledge our son who was born still I will always think of him as our child who I hold close to my heart I just couldn't bring myself to say yes I have two children one who is 8 and our other one was born still. It is such a hard thing to talk about to people who don't have a clue as to how you feel or know what stillbirth is, so I was curious how do you guys acknowledge and face those questions?

I don't think there is a right or wrong way to answer the questions. With strangers you don't have to give a lot of detail if it helps. I lost mine in 2013 and 2014 and I still answer those questions different every time; unless its someone you actually want to know about all the details. I found out pretty quickly that most people can't handle knowing you lost a child; they don't know how to deal with the loss. Just answer with what feels right at that moment.

It's true. I answer different every time as well. I've had so many people not say anything when I say we lost our daughter. People don't expect that to come out of your mouth and don't know what to say. I often dread the awkward conversation when people ask. I was talking to my husband when we get pregnant again I'm gonna dread it when people ask is this your first? Cuz I'll say no because my daughter who we lost was but again people won't know how to respond. I think you just need to answer with whatever feels right for you! Hope this helps ❤

I have three kids plus my Angel in heaven .
When people ask me how many kids you have I say I have 4 kids 3 Childern with me and 1 Angel.

Thank you all for your comments, I guess I will look at the situation I am in when it comes time to talking to people to see how I will approach it.
