I had The Bump sending me emails every week to tell me how the baby was developing. I got the first one after I lost my son, and I just wept. I unsubscribed from everything baby that I could, but I also still get baby magazines and information in the mail. They're yet another reminder of the son I lost. It's rough and it stinks.

I still get baby magazines too. There is a trash can right next to mail box and they go straight in the trash!.. I thought I unsubscribed from everything but every once in a while I get something in email to. I just delete without even looking. It just seems no matter what you do everyday something has to remind us of what we lost.

I had signed up for weekly newsletters too. Getting a joyful e-mail with the header "you're 28 weeks now!!" was absolutely awful and I immediately unsubscribed from the website, but the thought lingers. We can just hope and pray that things will get better over time, and become less hurtful.

Yeah, its hard to get those things. Hubby takes care of the mail since my insurance company sent me a breastfeeding pillow that arrived the day after we lost our son. He trashes anything outside that I don't need to see. He also opens anything suspect! Email is a little harder since I check that through the day. I canceled all my online stuff right away but randomly still get stuff. It sucks!

Ugh - I HATE those darn baby coupons in the mail!! It's been 8 months since I lost Alexis and I STILL get things from time to time. The other day I got some coupons from Huggies and it had on the cover "now that you're an expert diaper changer". I bawled. It was soooo hurtful a reminder that I should have a baby girl who'd be nearing 5 months old by now. I can't say it gets easier but at least in time you get less and less reminders.

Eww! The worst was the stupid guy from the cord-blood-bank (which I never even signed up for in the first place) who clearly had me on a list to call every two weeks. I ignored the calls until finally I just answered and told him to take me off his list. It was so hard though!

I lost my baby girl 2 weeks ago and hadn't checked the mail at all until yesterday. it was jam packed with condolence cards from family & friends, a new baby package from shoppers drug mart, and 6 different parcels with clothes that I had ordered online for her. I just about lost my mind! My husband came home and I was sitting at my desk surrounded with mail and packages bawling my eyes out... it is a terrible reminder. There is a site that I still frequent (as it has a grief and loss forum) that keeps giving me updates on my baby and I can't figure out how to make them go away. It's enough to make a person crazy!!

Dont you just hate that? I do!! I subscribed to numerous sites for baby stuff and when I got home from the hospital kept getting all of these emails, I unsubscribed, but I still get stuff in the mail, etc! Even though I keep telling them to stop! I am sorry, I hope that they stop sending them to you!

I had the same emails and magazines coming, out of state family sent us a gift that we just happen to receive a week later too!
I unsubsribed to the emails, but just collected all the magazines and put them away for the next I will be lucky enough - I can read them then.

I totally understand where you. When I lost our daughter I was in the hospital for a week. We were late on a car payment and they were so hateful that we a few days late. The doc bills were a mess. I was on medicate but ended up having to call and tell like eight diff people what had happened and to get the bills to stop coming. Thankfully I didn't have internet and wasn't signed up for much.
I do hope that this week is better for you.

i don't mind getting the free stuff, for me i just think eventually we will try again and this stuff will come in handy. The update emails where hard though but thank fully the ones i signed up for were easy to cancel, im sorry that we all have to go through this, but im super glad we have each other to vent and share with.
