This community is dedicated to those who have been impacted by a stillbirth. A stillbirth occurs when a fetus which has died in the uterus, during labor, or during delivery exits a woman's body. I have tried really hard to not get upset over people talking about the loss of Gemma. Some people really do care and just tell other people so they can pray for our healing. Yesterday, I found out someone I went to high school with asked a friend of mine how I was doing because she "knew what happened". She was back home for the holidays and ran into my friend. Neither of us currently live where we grew up and I have not seen or heard from her or anyone in her family in years. This would have had to make several rounds before it got to her. I have never liked gossip and hate being the topic of it. Like I said, most people really care and might just keep us in their prayers. Other people apparently just bring it up casually like "Did you hear what happened to Lauren" and never do anything other than spread other people's pain around. I can't stand that. My baby is more than just a sad story and gossiping about us is wrong and hurtful.
I wish all of us a good year ahead, I pray that all of us have a happy new year and may all the people around us understand what we're going through.
It's 3 hours til New Year here in my location, it's also my Sydney's first angelmonthsary...
