Know exactly how you are feeling - there were 3 of us that found out we were pregnant in the same week and all due within 10 days of each other. They both had rough pregnancies and had to have c-sectinos, but both have healthy babies...i had a blissful pregnancy until 38+ weeks when colleen was born sleeping. I have sent only a couple of messages to them via facebook, when they ask how i am, otherwise i have not talked to them at all since Feb. I have also only recently started seeing my friends with older children - difficult when you are a god mother to 7. Trust me ont his - if your friends cannot understand y you need the space right now, then they are not worth explaining it too - hard but true! i a amazed how mnay of us loose our babies because of things that could have been picked up earlier if our idiot doctors actually did their job instead of worrying about buying their next BMW!! i still dont know the cause of colleen's death adn can only take more precautions to try adn hope that it doesn't happen again.
Hon we understand you and we are all here for you!
i too know exactly how you feel.
My friend started what she called the baby race. then last september, i suddenly realised i was pregnant, and another friend was just ahead of me. The friend who started the baby race fell pregnant 2 months later. Unfortunatly, this friend lost her baby at 20 weeks. she couldnt see me as i was still pregnant, so i gave her the space she wanted, as i didnt want to upset her. then a month later i lost matilda at 35 weeks. This friend promised to come over and cook me dinner, but then gave me some excuse why she couldnt make it that day ( she said her son had a rash). on Facebook the next day it turns out she had gone to hospital to meet our other friends daughter who had just been born. i was so upset that she lied. She then told me she didn't want to see me as it would bring up all her pain. This has made it all so difficult, as we used to be quite close the 3 of us, and now i feel like the lepper. She has tried to make it up with me now, but i am so angry with her, im scared of what i might say. its been months since i saw her. now i need space, as it has all been made into such a huge issue ( by them, facebook and other friends who dont know what it feels like to loose a baby). So i have not gone out much, i avoid these friends now, as too much time has past. the pain is immense.
i do feel jealous when i see other pregnant women or women with newborns, but that's only natural, as they have what i should have. I put up blinkers, ie i look somewhere else, and block my view so i don't burst into tears.
i have an older toddler and have stuck with my toddler mum friends as i can still join in the conversation, and luckily none of them were pregnant recently.
its a tough situation for you, and it is going to upset you. maybe it would be best to not to see them for a while, as the conversation will be about babies as that's all new parents talk about. Im sure they will understand if you explain your reasons.
