I am devastated with you. I am so sorry you need to go through this. My son, Hunter, was found without a heartbeat at 37 weeks on October 9 and the worst thing I could imagine was getting through labor. When I found out I had to do it, I wished I could have a C-section, anything to minimize this pain. Even though the wound is so fresh, I know delivering him was right. He was mine and as hard as it was, it was a moment I needed to experience with him. I wish you peace in the future.

I can relate. On here to learn more and find support. Our baby boy, Brighton, was stillborn on Monday at 35 weeks. He was fine on Friday, but I think the cord tangled him up over the weekend. They said it’s rare at this stage, but here we are. I’m devastated and hollow. How do you cope? How do you best remember them?

I recently went through a very similar experience. We found out at 22 weeks when we went for the anatomy scan that something was wrong with our baby. Several weeks later an MRI showed that her lungs were not developing and that she would not survive outside the womb. We were told she would most likely pass while in the womb, or labor would be induced at 37 weeks knowing she would not survive. We went to doctors appointments weekly to check for a heart beat, and at 32 weeks we found out she had passed away. It was very challenging going to appointments each week knowing that our baby wasn’t going to make it. I delivered her on 11-29. We had amazing and compassionate nurses who helped us get through labor and allowed for us to have time with our baby girl once she was delivered. I joined this support group today, and it is helpful to share our story and find that other people have gone through the same thing.

The baby is still alive...this is so hard to do. And keep going through. I feel like I am at my breaking point with no relief in sight. I feel terrible for wanting this to be over. For wanting her to go on. But I can't take this in between hope and despair anymore. Now my blood pressure has been going up too high. So I may be induced because of it. But as of right now I am so angry that the doctors can't help. They can't save my baby. And I feel like now they won't save me...

I completely understand. Each time we went to the doctor we didn’t know what news to wish for. It was still incredibly hard to hear that there was no heartbeat, and two weeks later I am still struggling to come to terms with losing our baby. Don’t feel bad for wanting it to be over, it’s completely normal to want to move on with your life the best you can.

Well I am preeclamptic. I am being induced in an hour....
I'm ready, but at the same time afraid. Any tips or advice??

So sorry to learn of your loss. My wife found the emptiness, the closeness gone, the hardest part. She was there and kicking and then suddenly gone. Some things that brought her comfort: time alone without unwanted distractions, crying and being held when desired, exploring ways to bring others comfort, time to heal inside and out... I wish you peace is in the days ahead. If you have someone special in your life, confide in them. Couples either get really strong or get torn apart by a loss like this.
