Stillbirth Support Group
This community is dedicated to those who have been impacted by a stillbirth. A stillbirth occurs when a fetus which has died in the uterus, during labor, or during delivery exits a woman's body. For help and support, share your experiences and learn how others coped. Don't forget that you are not alone.
We chose to have Graham cremated. I have cradled his ashes and rocked him in the rocking chair. I have held his ashes and danced to Florence and the Machine in defiance to this gut-wrenching, soul-sucking experience. My parents are treating us to a trip to Mexico in the fall. I've been trying to figure out how I can bring some of his ashes to scatter because I keep thinking, "He never got to see the ocean."
Who am I to say what's normal?
As far as the pictures I think you may get the strength to look at them in the future. I finally was able to frame one and put it beside my bed. And occasionally my oldest son will take it and put it beside his bed. Don't rush yourself though....take your time, one step at a time. One minute at a time some days. Hugs and loves. Jessie
There is no right or wrong when it comes to the situation we're in so you just do what is right for you. If you want to go to the cemetery everyday, then you go ahead and do it. Things will get easier to live with, but in the meantime, take care of yourself however you need to. ((Hugs))
