Stillbirth Support Group
This community is dedicated to those who have been impacted by a stillbirth. A stillbirth occurs when a fetus which has died in the uterus, during labor, or during delivery exits a woman's body. For help and support, share your experiences and learn how others coped. Don't forget that you are not alone.
You mention that this family member is a teen. I don't have to tell you that teens make many comments that are ignorant and hurtful because of their immaturity. It doesn't excuse the behavior, but you have to know that she likely doesn't mean what she said. Two weeks after my baby was delivered still (which sadly was only 3 weeks ago) my five year old nephew kept asking me if I "wanted my baby". I wanted to strangle his little neck. But he is a child who doesn't know better.
Perhaps you don't tell people under a certain age what you've been through. The truth is no one can know the pain of what you've been through but the women who have gone through it as well. Be careful who you trust that information with because it's a deep experience that very few adults can even process.
Of course you miss your son and you won't ever stop. I don't know what your medical circumstances are in terms of fertility, but I've seen medical experts proven wrong.
