I am 5 weeks pregnant, it's been almost 15 weeks since we lost Kowen. Every bit of me is scared, I'm scared every moment that I'm gonna lose this baby. I'm scared that my beautiful angel baby Kowen will think I'm not still grieving and missing him every second of every day. I'm scared...
Back in the day when I was going through this, I attended a group called Empty Cradle for grieving parents of infant loss ... Many came while they were pregnant with a subsequent (rainbow) pregnancy after a previous loss ... and there was a saying: "you aren't a virgin anymore" meaning ... you aren't naive .... and that can be a curse for sure, but it can also be a blessing.
Having gone through a difficult pregnancy with my little Rebecca and then losing her and not knowing why ... when I had my subsequent pregnancy and things started to repeat, that is when the diagnosis came .... Had I not experienced that, I would never have known what killed Rebecca and because I had lost her ... the doctors were able to save my son, my rainbow baby ...
