And I realize that this was medically considered a "miscarriage", but I can't think of it that way, having experienced 2 miscarriages. I was in labor for 30 hours and got to see, hold and kiss my baby girl.

I am so so sorry. I lost my little girl at 36 weeks last year and I remember all to well the dread of going back to work. What I did was have a chat with my manager before I went back. She sent out a communication to the whole company, reminding them all that I had lost my little girl and asking everybody for their understanding on my return. It worked. I only had two people who asked me about the baby, they hadn't realised that I had lost her as they hadn't read the email. It made it a lot easier not having to face questions every day. Also, having chatted to my manager she was also very understanding when I did get emotional at work and needed to get away. Even now, almost a year later, if I get to emotional I know I can pack my bags and go.
I did find though that going back to work helped somewhat in distracting me from the reality that is now my life. There was and still is horrible days, but throwing myself into work has helped distract me at times.
Maybe you could also have a chat with your manager, or maybe a colleague who could prep everybody in the office before your return to make the transition back to work a little easier on you?

I'm currently 18 weeks pregnant, and believe me, if I lost this little one there is no way that I could think of it as a miscarriage. She already seems to have a little personality and she's already the center of my universe.

Hi Jaime Jus take it one day at a time. If u feel u need one extra day. Take it. If u go back and realize its not time, speak. Up and work out what is best for u. There is no right or wrong answer and what ever you chose is sooo brave of u. Because obviously without knowing you choose to live..

I'm so sorry about your loss. I lost my little boy almost 14 years ago at 29 weeks. I know how hard it is to venture out of your safety zone and to be around people. My heart truly goes out to you.......

I am so sorry for your losses. We all understand you. I lost my Evelyn to a cord accident at 24 weeks on October 15, 2014. I recently had a missed miscarriage 2 months ago at 10 weeks. I took almost 2 months off before I went back to work. I knew I had go go back to work to help keep my mind and thoughts occupied from all my grief. It was still difficult for me. We had pregnant staff and babies that would come into our building. I found myself constantly crying at work every moment I had a chance. It was difficult being home as well because I had my baby cremated and brought home. She has her own room and every day having to face the reality took a toll on me.
