I lost my baby girl at week 39 due to a cord accident, after waiting a year to try again I ended up having an ectopic pregnancy on my c section scar. Then after that we waited what the Dr recommended and I ended up having a miscarriage at week 7. We just saw the Dr today for options and we are between surrogacy with a family member or my going through in vitro to try to do genetic screening to avoid having another miscarriage. Don't know what to do, we are Christians so we know that at the end we have no control no matter what. I will appreciate opinions on this. Thanks

You really have to go with what feels right for you and your family. My husband and I are in a similar situation where we have to decide how far we are willing to go with trying to have a child of our own. We are fortunate in that our insurance will cover just about all treatments, including IVF. A surrogate is not an option for us because we can not afford it, but if we could I would go that route. I wish none of us had to be faced with such tough decisions. Go with your heart. Hugs to you!

I had the exact same situation as you. I lost my son Brandan at 39 weeks due to a cord accident. It has only been two months but eventually we would like to try again. I'm just afraid I will be terrified through the whole pregnancy. How have you come to terms with this?

After having the ectopic pregnancy I started to see a fertility doctor to verify that my uterus was still ok since the ectopic pregnancy was on my c section scar. He did an ultrasound and the uterus was fine so we got the ok to try to conceive again. I got pregnant 3 months later but I ended up having a miscarriage. My sister in law has offered to carry a baby for us since my daughter passed away. At the beginning I thought that it was a crazy idea because what happened to her was an accident but after my other losses it really made me think about twice. My insurance covers for my cycling and her insurance covers all of the prenatal treatment and delivery and she wants no money. Also I think I will be a wreck carrying a pregnancy because of what happened to my baby girl. Still is a hard decision to make because part of me wants to experience to delivered an alive baby :(. I am very sorry for your loss and it's something that you just learned to live with but it's always in your mind. I think about my daughter every day.

Lynette! You and I used to talk all the time, I'm June from Portland. As you know I lost my daughter Sophia at 38 weeks to unknown reasons, then a year later I miscarried at 6 weeks and then directly after the MC I began showing symptoms of adenomyosis or PCOS, the doctors can't decide which, and have been told conceiving may be a huge issue. Maybe right now you need to turn to your faith and take a break, even for a month to just take care of yourself, get HEALTHY as possible and relax, I honestly think a huge cause of infertility is stress, and we as angel moms are going to be constantly tense because of what we have been through.
