I am new here, and don't know where else to turn. I have been married for 7 and a half years, and have 4 children with my husband. He has 2 children, but early teens. I had a hard time adjusting to having step children at the beginning, especially since their mother detests me (blames me for their divorce .... whatever) and lies and talks about us. But I love them and try very hard to have some relationship. It IS NOT EASY!!! 

So, everything was ok. They wanted more time with their mom, which my husband gave them. He is broken hearted, and he had a fight with his one kids the other day. I was on my way to the store, and he called me home. It was a nightmare! We ended up in a shouting match, and she was scteaming at me that she knew her rights and I couldn't touch her, etc. It was like she was baiting me. Now, I have NEVER laid a finger on her and never will, but I think it's something her mom planted. She saif she hated me and didn't want me in her life ,etc etc. She then mentioned how her friend's step dad was taken to court for hurting her, and I think that's what she wants, just to get away from us. I am no saint, I do yell, but I don't yell at the step kids, or touch them at all. I did yell at my kids, and even spank, but never out of anger. In fact, spanking is so rare, and I talk to my kids and try to reason with them. But I'm worried they'll take my kids away from me if she pursues this! 

She admits she talks to her mom about me, and they bad mouth me big time. I just don't know what to do.
