I have been a long time member of DS in other groups. My husband's younger son is in his early 30's. He can't seem to keep a job for more than a few months and is often coming to daddy to borrow money, etc. His son is has recently lost another job, etc. and is causing grief. My husband is recovering from gall bladder surgery and doesn't need the stress.

I was told by another family member that his son has been doing this sort of thing since he was a child. He is lazy and expects others to bail him out.

I got into a big fight with his son and my husband related to this. After that I told my husband that I wasn't going to deal with it anymore and that I'm staying out of it. It still makes me angry because I don't want my husband being taken for a ride.

On a separate note, I tried a different online step family support site but it was full of mean, hateful people. I left that one and came back to DS. The members here are much more helpful and supportive.
