Step Families Support Group
Traditionally, a stepfamily is the family one acquires when a parent enters a new marriage, whether the parent was widowed or divorced. This community is focused on many of the relationships and issues that may arise within stepfamilies where you may find answers from some members and you may help other members with their questions.
As far as the toys go, maybe find her some similar toys to have for herself to play with? Then she wont have a reason to take your sons toys?
How does your husband act when these situations happen? I hope that he is supporting you and your feelings?
I know first hand how hard it is to deal with the feeling of being the only one who feels something are a issue. I have given up, not without feeling hurt and disrespect mind you, but my SD is going to be 18. My feelings and cause are no longer valid.
Good luck!
If and only if she does that (attaches) then she'll want to behave for him. That won't stop the acting out......but she'll at least be trying. Then it needs to be him telling her to "stop", or "hand the toy gently" or whatever.
Meanwhile, you can spend one on one time with your son.
If dad is sleeping, leaving it up to you to cook, clean, and watch the kids......he's not "doing everything".
