Step Families Support Group
Traditionally, a stepfamily is the family one acquires when a parent enters a new marriage, whether the parent was widowed or divorced. This community is focused on many of the relationships and issues that may arise within stepfamilies where you may find answers from some members and you may help other members with their questions.
I am 17 and I'm staying away from home in a different town for a holiday with a friend from one of my hospital admissions, and I had been 'ok' with my eating disorder, but I'm thinkig I am relapsing. But it seems like there isn't anything stopping me from recovering now, except for possibly doing a university pathway to get me into university next year, but I'm just feeling so... Fat :(
And I know that's easy to say....
From the time my daughter was 3 (she's 11 now), she was the type where if she asked for a toy, and I said no....she'd walk away saying that that was okay...she didn't really want it anyway...
My son, two years older....was pretty much the opposite until just the last year or two (he's 13 now).
What I've learned from watching those two....is that attitude is everything....and that it comes from within....not from without.
I don't know a thing about you, but just from what you've written...I know that you KNOW that you're NOT fat. But that you feel fat.
So what cha gonna do with that feeling? Let it win? Habbits are hard to break....and new coping skills are hard to learn. Fact.
But it's also worth it.
