My hubby came home yesterday to tell me his ex was venting about how lazy and demanding her children are. SD is 17, to be 18 in February and SS is 15. My hubby didn't say much when she asked if she was a bad mother for not teaching them to be more helpful and respectful around the house mainly I think because he didn't know what to say (instead of both parents teaching the kids what they should have after the break up they both were trying to be "the cool parent" ....no parenting plan meant that the kids floated from parent to parent, although my hubby had both kids for the first year and half after the break up, mother was absent) and didn't want to argue about the subject.
She also said that SD is spoiled at our home and told him that SD doesn't like it that I will clean her room and do her laundry. My hubby told her that if she didn't like it she could eliminate the fact that she I have to do it by doing it herself.
This whole conversation makes it somewhat easier to deal with the heartache I have when I deal with SD and her laziness.
