hello! I’m new to the group and I am just looking for someplace to talk amongst people who are in the same boat. I’ve been with my Husband for 5 years, we have a 4 year old daughter together. He has two sons 13 & 9 with two different women (teenage pregnancy with the first son and a few years later with his second son he was 21 and was trying to make a family who wasn’t ready to be in that role.) 

my husbands relationship in the last few years with my oldest SS has been like a rollercoaster. His BM says horrible things about my husband, bribes him with money to manipulate him to do what she wants. After Christmas he got into a very bad argument with his BM that resulted in him wanting to live with us. In Ohio unmarried dads don’t have any custody of their children unless established in the courts. He moved in, we drove across town to take him to school, talked to a lawyer about what to do, and eventually moved in his school district so it would be easier on the family. Saturday my SS called his BM and they start screaming at each other but then I can tell she’s worn him down. He says to my husband he wants to go back, that she promised she would take him where he wanted, but him what he wanted. 

My husband said to him he can go but we can’t keep going back and forth and don’t punish us that we are still his family. 

Here we are to Tuesday and he won’t return my husbands text messages; it’s like we are the bad guys. I’m sad, I’m mad, I’m confused. But most of all I’m afraid for my daughter, I don’t want her to grow up not having a relationship with her brothers; I’m afraid she will be alone.
