We spoke last night and decided to split amicably. We both felt such a sense of relief. I hope we can actually do this, guess we will see. But this is certainly a step in the right direction.

My X moved out 4 months ago we sold the house but I am renting it back for 12 mths your comment about your X not being a parent is exactly what is happening here he complains that the kids don't see h or call him ....they are young adults and one is 16 but he doesn't communicate with them I told him last night that our daughter is sick and needs blood tests today which she is not to happy about but he did n't even ring or text her and he blames me and thinks I'm the one stopping them seeing him ...which .not he needs to step up and be a parent
