Spouses of Transgender Community Group
Being transgender it's not easy but neither for their spouses. This group is created with the intention of helping and getting to know others that are in. the same situation or to just educate those that are on the other side of the fence and want to know how does it feel or how would it feel to be a spouse of a transgender person. The main objective of this group is...
Has he started hormones yet? That can certainly kill the sex drive, as can body dysphoria (if he is suddenly realizing he hates his male parts). Age can do it too. I don't know how old you two are.
Make sure you are able to speak freely and openly with each other, possibly moreso than you ever have in your life. If you need help with that, get yourselves a marriage counselor. Then ask him gently without sounding accusatory if he can try to think of why he is less interested in sex and nudge him with questions a little if you have to.
If he just figured out he is trans, he may not know the whys yet and it might take some reflection for him to figure it out.
Have you asked him specifically if it's his sex drive? Because I'm wondering if he's interested in certain kinds of intimacy at the moment, but not necessarily PIV.
Conversely, if he's feeling negative about his body, that doesn't mean he can't be intimate with you aka give you oral sex. I would just ask what he might be up for and let him know that you are ready when he is ready.
If your partner is only interested in one thing, and still wants to do it, that makes me think they are still interested in sex but are dealing with dysphoria.
Is there a way to discuss what other activities they might still enjoy that would also add to your enjoyment? Assuming you aren't satisfied with the current situation?
My spouse became much more interested in nipple play, and now hates me touching their balls AT ALL. No hormones, just coming out. It seems like just the mindset can definitely change their sensitivities.
