Hey everyone ... Is there anyone out there who can probably relate..... My husband is a transgender male so he's ftm. I don't have a issue with the transition it's how he's personaily between us is changing , he more aggressive ,rude, nonchalant, ignorant when he gets ready, and he seem like I annoy him. I know things were going to come with the transition but all of this I just don't know ...I try to talk to him but to me I seem like I'm annoying him with stuff I have to say about how i feel .. I know it's the testosterone and him changing but idk what to do about I talk and talk and talk and he seems like he doesnt even care, I love this dude with all my heart but we argue and fight way more now. I just I don't know ...if anyone can help in any way please comment

Hi there, don't think I can be of much help, but it does sound like the testosterone at work, which I believe does calm down. Are you with a therapist? If not, that may be the way to go.
I really hope you can find a way through, you sound like a very supportive spouse and he is very lucky.

From everything I have read, that should be temporary. However, he is still an adult, and I don't think taking testosterone gives him a free pass to be rude or disrespectful to you. I think setting some ground rules would be a good idea and enforcing those rules when he acts that way. Otherwise, it could become a pattern and one that can't be easily changed in the future.

Perhaps this is something that can be addressed with his endocrinologist or doctor? I understand that this may be emotions brought on by hormones and those can be hard to fight, however I agree with 1newstart, that is not an excuse to treat people poorly. He needs to explain he is feeling angry for no reason and express those emotions.

My husband acts the same way. I think it is the narcissistic component, they are unable to consider anyone but themselves.

Thank you everyone.... Turns out he wasn't happy and we are no longer together it happen fast and I'm heart broking but I'm not gonna beg I have to keep moving. He will regret it

Ldsmessing I completely agree I dont think it has anything to do with hormones. I think that it just they way they are. Everything is always about them. I'm sorry to those I offend with this, but why do you think they choose this. Its. Havent you noticed how they are more coming out all the time. It gives them the oh the world is aagainst me. Like I said I'm sorry if my feelings offend anyone but I'm angry really angry. I've been.doing this for four years and everytime I try to tell him how I feel he tells me this isnt about you. Well yes it is it effects me. So yes I think it's their narrastic behavior.
