I had read this before. Almost haunting really. I find the comments interesting as well.

Here is another good interview. With the exception of her spouse writing her a letter, this could have been me right down to the awkward family vacation.

No, not my experience at all. Maybe I'm one of the 'lucky' ones. He prefers to be very subtle and hidden.

Haven't listened to the podcast yet (kids were around), but will do. He's probably heard it as he listens to Woman's Hour quite often while he's driving.

OK listened to it now, and I can relate to that far more than to the blog, as regards to how I feel, and the things the husband said. Shame that divorce seemed the only option on that one though. I've sent it to my partner. Sent him the blog too, which he thought was 'unsettling and creepy'.

This is my first time reading "A Letter to the New Girlfriend." It's not really my experience, but I can definitely understand the exhaustion--and that feeling at the end when your spouse tells you that you are best.

And it shows that really, sometimes the problem isn't actually the trans issue, it's a person who doesn't respect your boundaries.
