I hear you sister!! Mourning the loss of my normal life every day...

I feel you! It's been 3 years and it's still an adjustment for me. This was my first Halloween without my ex. It was kinda tough. I'm trying to be kind to myself.

Each day it is a challenge. Some days I feel like we are just going through the motions of our daily lives. Some days are good, some days are so so. I hate it when he uses his dysphoria thing as an excuse in a argument, saying how I don't know how it feels, blah blah blah. His right, I don't know but it gets tiring to keep hearing it and I'm not trying to be insensitive. It is hard for me to even paint my nails or wear something nice without hearing him say, oh I wish I could do that. I love him and trying to work through this but there are days when it is frustrating for me and having no one to talk to about it. I am glad to have support here as it helps, makes me feel that I am not the only one to go through this. Thank you.

Your spouse can do that. And the only person who has the power to do it is himself. No one else. Courage is not the absence of fear.

I have just joined this group. "Every day is a challenge." I totally get that. It is helpful to read, to know that others feel the same. I usually just feel guilty that I feel challenged by the person I love manifesting themselves.

Lunarleila, it is a challenge every day. Trying to be strong and help when can. Today, not so bad. So trying to enjoy the moment.

Oh my gosh! Maybe it's the weather. I have felt the same over this past weekend. Sometimes I feel like I have a 14 year old daughter and she just discovered purses and bubble gum lipstick. And of course she's the first person on earth thats ever had a hot flash.. I love her to death and we have been together forever but some days you just need to vent.

Yep, I feel the same way Suzq57. There are days just as you said and god, the questions that sometimes go with it. I asked him once, would you even like going through a menstrual cycle? He says yes. I bet you you not if he ever experienced this. I'm glad that there is others here who knows what's it like to go through this with the spouse and just understands.

Suzq57 OMG, yes! The hot flash thing! And she’s only on t-blockers, no E yet. She’s 40, I’ll be 39 in a couple months. But god forbid I mention my hot flashes.

We make the cute jokes about how I’m the tomboy and she’s the diva, but I swear it’s like she resents me for not being girly. Well, right not she seems to hate me more even breathing wrong. (That’s not even a joke). I actually can’t wait for her to go on E. I’d rather have a crying teenager than a mean jerk.
