Spouses of Transgender Community Group
Being transgender it's not easy but neither for their spouses. This group is created with the intention of helping and getting to know others that are in. the same situation or to just educate those that are on the other side of the fence and want to know how does it feel or how would it feel to be a spouse of a transgender person. The main objective of this group is...

I can't imagine 15 years of this. I told my husband that I do not want to end up his roommate. He doesn't want that either. He wants his wife and kids the way we are, but be able to indulge in self centered behavior of this mental illness, while continuing to slowly kill me inside.
I'm so sorry for you my friend. :-(
Hi lupinrose! Wow you have been in this for 15 years?! Much respect to you. May I ask you a question? Many of the other women on here, their husbands are just at the beginning of their transition. We all agree that they act like self-centered, 13 year old girls dying for attention. Tell me, does this part get better? As they get further in the process do they "mature?" My husband keeps saying since he has started HRT that he is beginning puberty all over again and although I call BS on that, I have heard that from a few different sources. I do not intend to stay in the marriage but I worry for the future. Will I be co-parenting with a teenage forever?
I'll put my two cents in on it, if that's okay....men who are transitioning are told they will get used to the hormones, I think they just get used to being selfish and self-absorbed and all the people they had around them before are gone, so it doesn't matter anymore how they behave.
